The ARA Fire Emergency Messaging Solution has been developed by ARA and a software company located in Australia. The system was developed in house due to provide better response to emergencies, and to improve the verbal & visual notification of Australian evacuation systems.
The messaging solution is based on an application that is hosted on a secure AWS server. The client administration login is on a hidden domain and is not publicly searchable. ARA Fire has the administrator access to all usernames sites, audio files, and any API codes for integration with media screens and we will configure these for you.
When a device is installed onsite, the configuration of that site has already been done by the ARA Fire administrator. The administrator will create the client, site & enter the address. At the client level, the messages are stored on our secure server and in an encrypted folder on the device itself. The site can have all those messages assigned, or only some depending on the clients requirements.
The device is not limited to emergency messages, and can be fully customisd to suit the requirements of retail, hospitals, stadium, manufacturing or any other space of public gathering.

Installation and setup
Once we integrate with your media provider, the media API codes are entered in the administrator portal as well, along with user names and passwords to access the API.
No configuration whatsoever can be done from the installed device, and it is locked to the ARA Fire Emergency Messaging Solution application.
Once the device is installed onsite, we firstly need to connect to the mobile network. This is via a supplied SIM card. Once online the ARA Fire Emergency Messaging Solution app is deployed. The installing technician will select the client and the site, that has already been configured by the system administrator.
The device will then download all audio files, and also self configure the main screen with a “message tile” per emergency message. We can arrange the tiles on the screen in your preferred order, we can also change the colour of the tiles to match your existing emergency management procedures. We have an incident screen that contains all your emergency or important messages, and we also have the “other” screen which can contain messages such as routine testing, power outage and even the Remembrance Day speech.
Once the device is installed, we then map the messages to activate SMS and email alerts to site contacts or managers. This is fully customisable where we can add different contacts. For example, we can add the different contacts AAO vs Emergency Evacuation.
The device is installed in a tamperproof enclosure, that also houses the audio converters and voltage regulators that we require to interface with the site evacuation system. The system is now ready to be used.
